The Mixer Wardrobe series offers 10 design variations, by far the largest and most versatile closet collection. Some styles are shared with their Swinging Door counterparts, like Display, Rain, Simple, Split, and Strip. Others are new, but welcome additions to the sliding door collection: Frame, Glide, Quadra, Rubic, and Vision. How will you furnish your dream home today?
How A Sliding Doors Wardrobe Works
The sliding doors are equipped with an assisted- closing mechanism.
This modern closet has a frame with two doors that run on tracks. The Mixer sliding door collection is an excellent solution for anyone looking for a functional, practical wardrobe. Although pictured often in a bedroom layout, these closets also serve as functional coat or wall cupboards in living room spaces as well.
Alf DaFrè mechanisms, made of state-of-the-art materials, are tested for over 80,000 opening cycles and guarantee longevity and reliability over time.
If you are looking to save space yet utilize the full capacity of a generously sized closet, this is the way to go. Below you will see our store feature Display, Frame, Glide, Quadra, Rain, Rubic, Simple, Split, Strip and Vision. A difference in material and finish creates an entirely new look for your dream home.
Display
Display is our modern closet with a glass door & a metal frame around the edge. It is available in clear glass, mirror, or grey mirror. Glass doors let you display & protect your clothing at the same time. Display does this with a designer metal frame. The metal rails create a rectangular section which, in its profile, hides the mechanisms that open the closet quietly and elegantly.
Frame
Frame is a stunning interior design choice with a sliding door that combines two contrasting finishes: one for the frame & one for the door panel (cleverly hidden in profile). We want to highlight one particular finish as a Pièce de Résistance: Silk-screened glass for Frame. Scroll through the photos below to see how versatile silk-stained glass looks in each home setup. For example, Grigio Lino vs Sarì silk-stained glass!
Glide
Glide is the perfect name for a wardrobe with sliding doors. This luxury closet is on the minimalistic side in terms of design. Below the Glide closet is pictured in the Matte Platino Lacquer finish. The door panels slide and the handles are built into the paneling. You can play up the contrast of the closet’s design by alternating what finish is used for the strip vs the panel of the Glide wardrobe.
Quadra
The Quadra wardrobe is structured and geometric. These sliding doors are distinguished by the very thick border that encloses the central panel in a similiar or contrasting finish. Although a minimalistic, monochrome look is achievable, the possibilities with this modern closet are more enticing when you mix and match. Pictured below, Quadra creates a contrast between the door panel and its border by pairing a mirror with oak wood. Then there’s the use of leather which adds a level of beautiful complexity to the luxury closet design (featured in the central panel).
Rain
Rain is a modern closet with sliding doors that features vertical machined work. The Alf DaFrè design creates a unique visual effect. Rain is available in wood or lacquered finish. The inspiration for this door comes from rain and the trails left after raindrops hit the surface. This gives rise to a unique closet design inspired by nature & modern art. A perfect addition to a hallway in your dream home.
Rubic
Rubic is a cool, sophisticated option for a luxury closet. It has a geometric, cutting-edge flair to it. Notice the panels of different thicknesses. The combination of contrasting finishes creates further pleasing visual & tactile effects. Just look at how the personality of the Rubic sliding doors changes with the lacquer/wood combination vs the glass/lacquer. On the profile side of this modern closet, you will see metal running alongside its whole height, making opening Rubic easy.
Simple
As the name suggests, Simple is a wardrobe with sliding doors characterized by the simplicity & linearity of its shape. A design that goes perfectly and discreetly in a dream home. Because the smooth panels are so “simple” in this closet, the personalization comes with the vast array of finishes available. To top that off, Simple may not be as simple as you may think, choose between 9 different handles for that perfect look.
Split
Split is another obviously named wardrobe. This closet with sliding doors is no muss, no fuss. Minimalistic in design and divided in the middle. What might be the simplest and most practical solution for opening a door in a modern closet? The answer is a “Split“. Its vertical metal profile allows for easy opening alongside the full height of the door. This way the wardrobe’s functionality keeps its minimalist design.
Strip
Strip is another minimalist closet in the Mixer wardrobe collection. Just like its counterparts, it has sliding doors, but distinguishes itself through noticeable vertical strips that make up the door panel. The narrower strip is constructed with special machining work which forms the handle to open the modern closet (the horizontal gap in the paneling). Pictured below, we see Strip in fitting neutral tones with a finish of Matte Pacifico Lacquer.
Vision
Vision is a standout Alf DaFrè wardrobe with sliding doors that’s available in wood, lacquer or glass. Its large panels are outlined by vertical strips that create the handle for sliding the closet back and forth. Interestingly, when we combine glass with a different finish, the contrast of materials elevates the modern closet.. enhancing the vision. Below, Vision is pictured with a mirror and lacquer paneling, which actually makes the room look larger than it really is.
